The spirit dwelleth with unclean things!!!

Pictures of the Trek... in no paticular order...

This was the mail we recieved from the pony express out in the middle of nowhere!!!

Lindsay was so kind to show us her really scratched up and bruised legs. We hit some really ginormous sagebrush that took her down and lets just say shes real lucky that the wheel of the hand cart go stopped... because it ain't easy stopping those things in a hurry:) sorry Linds...

This was a game... the rope game... or something... during a quick break while we were waiting for the other handcarts who went the wrong way.. an extra couple miles never hurt anyone.... just glad we were obedient and following the prophet!!! :)

Demetri just wasnt getting much of a workout.. decided to try a few pull ups..

Ya know, Ive always known that duct tape can fix just about everything... but blisters?

My sweet, very hard working, long suffering, good attitudes, happy, hardworking, no
complaining, hard woring family. We were very very blessed to get such great youth in our
family.

My sweet girls! I do have to say.. The girls in our family worked as much or more than the boys in our family.. way to go!

a much needed water break..
Willy and I had the opportunity to be a Ma and Pa on this pioneer trek our stake put on. It was such a great experience. The youth are really incredibly strong in work and spirit.. I was taught by them in every experience. We left on Thursday and returned on Saturday. To say the least we were very dirty and tired. But the spirit was with us.. It was very hard to leave my sweet babys at home for 3 long days (longest Ive ever been away from them) but so greatful I took this opportunity to gain a stronger testimony.. Family is everything with a little hard work and sacrifice.. we will make it to zion. Thanks to Jake, Jared, Demetri, Brady, Lindsay, Sherika, Emmeli and Lexie.. for your examples to us!! We love you.

How fun! I hope I have an opportunity to do that someday.

We think about you guys a lot, too. We really need to get together soon. We MUST be good friends if you guys were thinking of "Elsie" as a name for you because we had never heard of it anywhere before as a modern name. Sorry we took it before you could!

Hey Ma!

Man what a good experience. I still feel aweful about sitting in the cart and i found out after the trek that the ma and pa wern't allowed to push the cart. I wish i had more motivation to keep going. Thanks for all you did and for the spirit was there. I loved your comments on the last day as the boys and girls split. It really helped me. Thanks Pa for the leadership as we trugged through the sand and i hope your arm is okay after pushing that hand cart and for everything else you did. I will never forget when you did that crazy dance withthat harmonica or how ever you spell it. Thanks for everything you guys did there and for strangthening my testomony in prayer and be so thankful for the pioneers. I love you guys!

Rhonda,
I'm trying to spread the word about an upcoming fun run in support of Jace Leatham. Would it be possible for Willy to send out an e-mail to all the elders and let them know. If someone has a ward e-mail list I will be happy to do it myself! :O) Anyway, the website for the fun run is www.payitforwardfunrun.com. Let me know if he's not comfortable with this or if there's any questions. Thanks so much!
